Description
A ceramic plate that reads less like tableware and more like a cross-section of something geological — a frozen lake, a mineral deposit caught mid-crystallisation, a sky viewed from directly beneath. The reactive glaze shifts from a teal rim inward through violet-blue cloud formations to a silvery-white centre, and no two plates resolve the same way. The surface is not smooth in the polished sense; close inspection reveals a fine crystalline texture across the entire glaze field, the kind of grain that catches raking light and turns a dinner plate into a specimen worth studying before anything is placed on it. Available in two diameters — 18.5 cm and 22.5 cm — and two silhouettes per size: a clean round and a gently undulating wavy edge that softens the geometry without prettifying it. The Nights in Khingan Range motif is the colour itself, not a pattern applied over a neutral body; the glaze is the image.
Inspiration
Snowy crystal patterns spread across this ceramic plate like a frozen mountain lake.
The reactive glaze is the point: blue, green, and milky white shift across the surface, so each serving feels less like a blank backdrop and more like weather passing through dinner.
Raised edges, with round or softly wavy options, keep pasta, tomatoes, dumplings, or a small dessert neatly framed. Even empty on a shelf, it has the quiet drama of a landscape seen from above.
Highlights
- Crystalline reactive glaze produces a landscape of teal, blue-violet, and silver-white tones that shifts in different lighting conditions
- Two silhouettes available per size: clean round and organic wavy rim
- Diameter options: 18.5 cm (height 2.8 cm) and 22.5 cm (height 3.4 cm)
- Glaze texture is visually legible at close range — fine crystalline grain across the entire surface, not a flat colour field
- Raised rim edge contains depth sufficient for sauces and shallow preparations, not only dry plating
- Underside carries its own amber-yellow glaze, a deliberate contrast to the blue-dominant face
Notices
Because the glaze is reactive, the exact distribution of blue, teal, and white will differ between individual plates — the pattern shown is representative of the colourway, not a guaranteed repeat. The underside glaze is applied asymmetrically by nature of the process; this is inherent to the material and not a defect. A measurement tolerance of 1–2 cm may exist due to the nature of ceramic production. Please review all product images, including the underside shot, before purchasing.
